Welcome to your Trézor hardware wallet! This guide will walk you step by step to get started securely using your device. Let’s go! 🚀
Plug your Trézor into your computer using the USB cable. On the screen, confirm the device is not tampered, and the holographic seal is intact. If there are signs of tampering, pause and contact Trézor support immediately.
The first thing you’ll be prompted to do is install the latest firmware. Click “Install firmware” in the interface and wait until the update completes. Then click “Continue.”
If this is your first time using a Trézor, choose Create new wallet. Otherwise, choose Recover wallet and follow the instructions to restore your existing wallet from your recovery seed.
Your Trézor will generate a list of words (commonly 12 or 24) — this is your recovery seed (now called wallet backup). Write these down **exactly in order** on the recovery card. Never store them digitally or share them. Confirm them when prompted by device. 🔒
To protect your device, you’ll set a PIN. Use the on‑device interface to enter and confirm the PIN. This adds protection in case your Trézor is physically accessed.
Select which cryptocurrencies (“coins”) you want to manage with your Trézor. Finally, click “Complete setup” and then “Access Suite,” and you’re all set! 🎉
You can give your device a friendly name and even upload a custom wallpaper via Settings → Device. Confirm the change on the Trézor.

Happy and safe hodling! 🚀🔐
